The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro offers rich rewards


The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro is a practically stylish handset which is due for release Q2 2010. A variation of the X10 range, this handset provides a multitude of functionality encased within an extremely compact unit which measures only 90 mm x 52 mm wide whilst being 17 mm thick. The unit weighs 120 g in weight. Within the confines of this compact case it offers more functionality than most handsets currently available within the market.
The handsets 2.5 inch TFT touch screen offers excellent colour reproduction and depth of colour due to its 16 million colour capabilities, which within the confines of its 240 x 320 pixel screen size displays imagery of outstanding quality. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro offers a wide variety of connectivity options which include class 10 versions of GPRS and EDGE, whilst the HSDPA and Wi Fi connections provide internet access. In addition, micro-USB and Bluetooth are also included within the package and complete the myriad of connections. The handset provides 128 MB of internal memory, with a 2 GB SD card included as part of most packages, for additional memory expansion the microSD card slot can be utilised to increase memory capacity up to 16 GB. Satellite navigation is provided by the GPS function which comes with A-GPS support.

The handset offers a variety of entertainment options which include a 5.0 megapixel camera that operates at 2560 x 1920 pixels and aids the budding photographer by providing auto focus as well as an LED flash for illumination purposes. The camera also doubles up as a VGA quality video capture device and records at 30 frames per second whilst providing a video light as standard. In addition a stereo FM radio with RDS is provided as well as an MP4/MP3 media player. TrackID music recognition is provided within the package.

In recognition of the influence of the internet the unit provides a wide variety of applications such as Google search, maps and Gmail as well as YouTube and Google talk. A handy calendar and document viewer as well as a voice memo are also included within the package.

The Sony XPERIA X10 Mini Pro utilises the Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor as well as the android operating system, which within this particular handset is version 1.6.
