Don't know what a great deal it is but these are the rarest of Sony's iLink/S-Master Pro units. Not to mention the most expensive as well. The SCD-R1 player and it's mate the TA-DR1 integrated amp. Seller is asking $14,000.00 for the pair._mykl

The same seller also has another set of some of Sony's rarest. The SCD-1, TA-E1, TA-N1 trio that Sony made to introduce SACD. Along with the SS-M9ED speakers. He's asking $15,000.00 for the set. The TA-N1 had a MSRP of $9,000.00 IIRC and the SCD-1's MSRP was $5,000.00. I don't remember the TA-E1's MSRP.

I'm still dying to put a TA-N1 in my system and compare it's sound to my STR-DA9000ES._mykl

This guy's got alot of Sony's finest audio gear. The "legendary" CDP-R10/DAS-R10 digital front end combo. His price seems surprisingly low, for him. $15,000.00. I have no idea where he came up with this stuff but I would sure love to see this collection of some of Sony's greatest before he sells it off._mykl

Thanks for sharing the links mykyl. I really enjoyed looking at these rare Sony components over at Audiogon.

Joe_I know what you mean. I've never even actually seen any of these let alone having the pleasure of hearing them. We have one member, jeromelang, who's not only seen and heard at least of some of them, if not all, but actually owns some. I can only dream what that's like._mykl
