AVS Forum's store seems to have a limited number of DA6400ES units at a price of $699.  They are brand new, and I presume AVS is an authorised dealer (?).

Though it can't handle 3D signals (which is probably why it's being cleared out) and is essentially a glorified 5400ES w/Network and HATS support, the fact that it's $700 and therefore less than I've seen the leftover 5400ES units selling elsewhere for (and less than the short-lived 5500ES sells for), makes it a pretty good deal IMO.

I saw that the other day, they would ship to me in Aus but they require payment in full by bank deposit which is not an issue. Problem is they cannot tell me how much the shipping costs would be.

About 6 months ago from a different outfit, I bought a new da5500es for the same $700/including shipping and am still VERY pleased with it. It does everything cleanly with the exception of 3D - but I don't care, my 52Z5100 doesn't do 3D either...
It IS one of the few that still has a phono input, the dn series doesn't. I have the rcvr feeding 5 KLH model Five and two model ThirtyThree in a 7.0 setup. No subwoof need apply! Incredible sound! Plenty of headroom! I can only assume that the 6400 would have even more!
Cheers!
