I checked and there is a currently backorder on this model between 7 to 10 days. It's a very popular model since they dropped the price on the Sony 52" BRAVIA XBR Series Black LCD Flat Panel HDTV - KDL52XBR6 from $3,499 to under $2,500
Our Groupbuy retailer ABT is also backordered on it
http://www.abt.com/search/search.php?keywords=52xbr6
I even checked Best Buy and they look like they have delayed shipment on it.

Based on delivery to ZIP code 20877, the first 7 available dates for Sony - BRAVIA XBR 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV are:

Monday, January 05
Tuesday, January 06
Wednesday, January 07
Thursday, January 08
Friday, January 09
Saturday, January 10
Sunday, January 11

I would email and call the company to see when they will have it available for delivery. Also, sometimes they have a waiting list. If they do see what number you.

That's good to hear. I head that Sony is starting to add Blu-Ray players for free to several Sony television models to encourage. I think what they do is bundle it with a blu-ray player and knock off $300 to the price of the bundle package.
