Will someone please tell me which television is the best buy.  A three year old used KDE50XBR950 thats in great condition that cost over $6000 new and is for sale now for $1000 or a new KDL46W3000 that now cost $2200.   I'm anxious to get as many opinions as possible.

terreentn,

I would go for the newer model, it's 1080p and you can get a warranty.

You may even consider a KDL-52W3000 with white glove delivery for not much more. Check out our group buy from Abt, click here.

terreentn,

But if I had my choice it would be a KDL-52XBR5.

I agree with Toli. I would go with the KDL46W3000.  It has 1080p and more features. Also, I think the KDE50XBR950  is a plasma tv. I don't usually lean towards buying Plasmas due to burn in and picture fading over time. I know these problems have been updated with the newer plasmas. Not sure on the KDE50XBR950 since they are 3+ year old. And a new warranty is always good.

The groupbuy on Agoraquest has it's price at $1,920 which includes taxes and free shipping. So the difference of 920 is a small difference to have a newer television with 1080p. Plus it's an LCD TV.

On the other side if you don't have surround sound, getting the KDE and spending $920 for a receiver and speaks isn't bad either.
