A nice step-up from those cell-phones/pocket flip video camera's shooting 720p. Prices of HD camera's with mechanical zoom lens continue to fall. That's a good thing. Rendering times, however, is another issue.
If you are considering moving up to this, from SD video, just be advised of the increase in time it will take to render an HD video into any format. I think Intel just announced a solution for that problem.
