What am I doing wrong? I have my system all set up the way I think it should be, and am trying to use a S-Video to go from the 'Out to Monitor' port on the back of the receiver (STR-DE895)to the TV, and am not getting any picture. When I use a regular yellow video cable, everything works just fine. I tried a second S-Video cable, and it doesn't seem to be the cables. Is there an option somewhere that is wrong, or what? Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't think the 895 converts between the video source. Therefore, if you have all the video source going to the receiver in composite, then you only get composite output. If you have S-video inputs, then you'll get S-video output.

Page 10 of the 895 manual under tips, states "this receiver can convert standard video signals to s-vdeo signals for output from the monitor out svideo jack." ..yet i am having the same problem of no video when i plug in a plain old vcr yellow into video1 ..

    any other thoughts>?
