Does anyone know how to change the data fields that are copied onto the MD when downloading songs from the HDD?

I get the song title but would like to add artist name and album data too.

Your best bet would be to get a utility which will rename your MP3 files based on the ID3 tag information. You'd make the format something like "SongTitle - ArtistName (AlbumName).mp3". Since all of the information is in the filename, it is all exported to the MD.

If you are not talking about MP3 files, then you could still find a utilty that can help you to rename your files to add this information. I have used "namewiz" quite a bit and I like it (it doesn't do any MP3-specific stuff though).

Thanks - NameWiz looks like a useful utility and would certainly do the job.

However, all the info I want is already in SonicStage - to my mind it should be possible just to define that some other fields other than song title are captured in the record window. Does anyone know if this is possible?
