First post here, but I've found the site/forums very helpful in my purchase decision.
Anyone out there with this set care to share their experience on getting it up and running? I'm waiting on my HDTV cable receiver (Bright House here in Novi - 3 weeks wait, but should have an HDVI output) and will be upgrading my non-progressive-scan components in relatively short order. (I did get the Monster Composite cables for the Xbox already - can't wait to see how much better this will look).
Any tips/hints greatly appreciated.

yeah monster composite is ugh.. acceptable if thats all you have in the back of ur tv.
Otherwise S-Video and Component Input, whether standard or HD. are superior connections.
depends on ur tv tho.

I love this baby. If you want to get the best out of it you should get rid of the "red push" and calibrate it.
I got in the service mode following the instrunctions below.
Service Mode
When done, I used an AVIA disc for calibration.
Enjoy your new toy!

I have my set for about 3 weeks and just love it. Yes, certain channels look poor, but others look unbelievalbe! And I don't have HD yet... can't wait.
Wait until you see Xbox through the components - Phenomenal! Combine this with a decent surround sound and it will blow you away!
I did improve PQ on some channels by eliminating a splitter and running all my components through a Monster PowerCenter which definitly cleaned up some noise.
Haven't played with calibration yet. I'd like to turn off the "red push", though I can't see why this seems to always be suggested. I guess I have to see it to understand why everyone suggests this.
Let me know how you like it.
Good Luck!
