Hotsync...Fatel Error |

I've recently been having problems with the Hotsync...
...everytime I press the hotsync button, I get the "Fatel Error" message...so I soft reset my NX70V and try to Hotsync again...it works.
Surely I don't have to perform a soft reset everytime i Hotsync???! 
Can someone please help and explain?

Dun worry abt it. I got it the other time. Please check carefully if you have any program in your clie that is in conflict with your hardware.
Just simply remove that program from your pda and hotsync it again, it should work fine.
What happened to me before was that the program i installed in my clie was for a removable clie camera but as my pda is a nr-70v, whatever i insert the memory stick, my clie would just hang and i have to reset. very infuriating...just take some time and browse thru applications on your clie and remove those that dun look familiar to you. You have a backup on your pc so that's no worry that you would be deleting vital info.

Also check the Install Tool in Palm desktop.
If you do a Hard reset on the CLIE and then Sync, any programs listed in the install Toll will be synchronized, these may require a soft reset before the CLIE will work.
If they are installed on the CLIE, remove from INSTALL Tool
As for the removable camera ( Memory Stick Camera ) , the Soft reset is a known issue....every one has this problem.

Maybee you have a problem with a sync cable, try a new cable.
