I just purchased my 36XBR800 set and I'm happy with it but I'm still not sure what source would give me the best signal ?
I knew that this set makes a good signal look great and a bad signal look very bad. I love watching DVD's on my progressive scan player but my cable TV signal looks pretty bad most of the time.
I'm currently watching basic cable that I have off a splitter, I'm using good RG6 cable but like I said I'm not happy.
I know High Def is going to be great from either a dish or a digital cable box but what about the non high def channels ?
Dish or Digital cable ???
Thanks for help.

There is no easy answer to you. Cable varies in quality in every community.
Your best best is to look for the most sources of HDTV. Whether it is off the air, or your cable provider, or Sat.
Spend some time over at www.avsforum.com under the HDTV - local programming and search for your community.
I am more of a fan of Directv - which I have had since 96. Right now it is not clear which Sat provider will have more HDTV programming.
