Can KV32HS500's DRC be adjusted in Service Mode |

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the DRC parameters are adjustable in service mode on the KV32HS500. I'd be interested in knowing whether anyone has successfully adjusted this for better visual appearance of weak NTSC channels or VHS tape source material. Or, even better perhaps, if the DRC's image "optimization" effects can be minimized, or turned off completely. Thanks.

I am also very interested in this info for the KV36HS500. Additionally, I am looking for a short list of the most common parameters for this unit that can be visually adjusted with patterns from my Avia disk such as geometry, overscan, etc. Last night I went into the service menu for the first time to adjust red push with no problems and saw some parameters that I assume are for vertical and horizontal control but I woud like to make changes carefully. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
John

You guys should get a copy of the service manual. They were posted here a ittle while ago. Have a look and see if the DRC can be adjusted.
John,
Geometery can be adjusted with the registers around PIN, VPIN, VSIZ, etc... the service manuall has a full list of all the geometry registers.

Jeff,
I got the manual yesterday and started to look over the adjustments, thanks. I have also applied your suggestion for red push that I have found in other posts. I'm not too sure about the green settings you show but my set is only a few days old. I will go over everything again after some time has passed. Like Jay, I am interested in tweaking the DRC stuff because I'm not totally thrilled with PQ from some sources. I haven't found any reference in the manual yet on first glance.
Thanks

Jeff,
Unfortunately, service manual only provides a table of the initial settings for each parameter, but provides no "data dictionary" guide to tell you what the parameters DO.
John,
You wouldn't be the John Murphy I worked with at Fairchild back in '85 would you?
