Hi All you Sony fans,
As a professional ISF calibrator for nearly 10 years now I can tell you that my number one recommendation for both direct-view and RPTV HDTVs are the new Sonys. The two most important reasons for this are the accuracy of the grayscale after calibration, and the ability to fix the color decoder in the service menu and eliminate the nasty Red Push that Sony has been so well known for so long.
On the RPs the Sony's also have the unique ability to allow you to do a Service Convergence from an external source (DVD cross-hatch pattern), and you can also teach a service convergence to the auto-convergence circuit. The result is awesome performance indeed.
