Start with the tv off and push,in sequence on the remote : Display,5,Vol +, Power. This will turn the tv to service mode. Use the 2 or 5 button to scroll through the catagories till you get to PJE, the lettering will turn from green to white. use the 1 and 4 button to scroll through the PJE controls. Fine convergence is done in FDIS. Set data to 1(use joystick), 6 will toggle through the internal test patterns, 9 enters fine adjustment mode, 3 selects the colour gun you're working with. When the curser is white you can navigate the screen with the joystick, when the curser is coloured(red,green,blue) the joystick controls fine adjustment. Mute-Enter will write data to the comp. WRITE DOWN ALL BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING!!!!!!!! If you get lost or screwed up, just turn off the power and all will go back to previously saved settings. Some people say the power must be completly disconnected to revert to un-saved changes...I think power off does the same thing.
Sorry for bumping an old topic but, I'm just curious; would doing that code that you spoke of up there fix the problem of 8 to 10 horizontal lines going across the screen?
