Anyone have any suggestions on configuring/tweaking the settings for optimal viewing? I'm very new to all this, and I haven't figured much of anything out yet....any help is appreciated.

i'm psyched, i love this thing already!

turn to movie or pro mode. buy an avia disc from disc to help you adjust your set).

learn about tweaking as much as you can before attempting any setting in the Service menu.

for you regular user menu, i suggest the following setting.

    movie or pro mode

    Contrast -25-30%
    brightness- 35-45%
color- from middle 4 clicks to the left
    Tint- middle
    Sharpness- 25-35%.
