OK. First posting. I have a KV-28WS1U, an early widescreen set. It has several modes for stretching 4:3 pictures to fill the screen. SMART mode is meant to stretch the edges more than the middle to avoid fat faces. Trouble is, the Horizontal Size setting on my set is way too big on SMART mode. It is 47 and needs adjusted down to 31.
I have succesfully adjusted this value in Service Mode and it stays in force until I change the strecth mode to Zoom, 4:3 or Wide. When I go back to SMART, it's back up to 47 wide. So how do I "burn" the 31 value into the SMART mode H Size parameter. The remote commander has NO "Enter" key so teh "Mute then Enter" combination doesn't work. I've tried "Mute" followed by all of the available remote keys and none of them do anything.
Anyone solved this problem ?
