I posted this info yesterday, but several people apparently haven't found ityet - probably because it's buried too deep in one of the other post. Service manuals for over 70 models, including the KV-40XBR700 & 800, etc.!Here's the link to that post.
Hope this helps , Chris.

Thanks for the site info! Do you know if they have the service manual for the KDP-57XBR2 up there? I played around with modifying the
URL (tried different combinations of 99659##0.?, where ## ran from 00 to 50 and ? ran from 1 to 3). I managed to find a few other manuals, but most of them were preliminary drafts of the current manuals for some models. Any help would be appreciated!

Service Manual for Sony 57XBR2 and 65XBR2 is:
http://service-asc.sel.sony.com/SonyESI/pdf/99654320.1/manual.pdf
Didn't know part number for manual; didn't want to try all of them, so..
I found out the part number using a clever method, then tried it. it worked.
Enjoy.

Want to let us in on how you found out what the part number was? it would help organize them a lot better.

Yes, I want to know that method, too. I'm tired of looking for the manual of KV-29FX66E, trying numbers and numbers ...

OK. That's good. I've sent a request to Sony Spain asking for the part-number. Could be a good idea that everyone looking for it asks Sony (in his country) or a local distributor.

Here is the clever way; pick one:
1. Call Sony and ask them the part number
2. Go to ebay; several people are actually selling them; actually only the pdf file for download or on CD. Ask them to confirm the sony part number
On one of the forums, not sure where, someone had done a dump of all the valid part numbers that were on the sony service website. The list was simply URL list without any model numbers.
I searched thru the URL for similar variation of part number.
Got it the first hit.
Now if I can only find the original forum post to thank the individual who posted it.
Mike

Hola JALB,
