Ok, Folks. I had an old trinitron and owned the service manual. It was simple. the data list column listed the service, the description, and the value that was the perset and then the average setting for each setting. Here is the problem.
I just purchased a KV27fs100 and downloaded the service manual to set it up. Guess what, i can not figure out what the preset values are and what i should change them to. The data list chart has a headings like "Slave Addr" then "Sub Addr", "Fix Data" and then "Var Data" with values like A4 or 8C what happened to simple numbers like my old service manual. If the preset was 12, and the suggested setting was 15 it was very easy to follow. Can anyone translate the new service manual for me. Thanks

It's the Fix Data you're interested in - that's the value of the parameter. Forget about the others.

Malikeye, e-mail me. I downloaded a service manual last night for my KV27-fs100 and, using an AVIA DVD I've arrived at what I think is a stunningly realist picture.
Let's correspond about this. It involves a number of subtle changes, and a few not so subtle.

Malikeye or BillBryant,
Sorry to tag along but I am looking for the service manual as well, Went to the site you listed above but didn't have ID/password.
Also would be very interested in BBryant's AVIA derived settings.
I wouldnt be able to make heads or tails of the new values either.
Thanks
