Hi i am new here, can some one assist with my tv problem ? I am seeing 2 blinks on the stby light when the tv is powered up, the inverter board was swaped, no change. i checked 2 fuses on the BU board, ok, 1 on the AU, ok, i test the G1 output, 3.3v standby ok, where says unreg 15 i
    measure 13.94v, reg 18 measures 18.55v, unreg 10.15v measures 13.09v.
I am not sure if these are normal readings. I got the service manual, 2 blinks refer to dc alert2 5/9v problems .
The only sound i hear, is the relay clicks on and off, maybe once or twice, then i can measure the voltage ,then the set powers down
I tried to measure the 5 v on the BU board, it goes up to 2.5v then the set turns off, i think i measured in the right pin in the connector.

I checked some of the components on the G1, some cap values drifted a little , but replacing them did not make much difference, resistors ,diodes seem ok.

If any one experienced these symptoms ,can you please help .

You can try to disconnect the LVDS-cable from the connector on the BU-board. This is the cable which feeds the signal from the BU board to the TCON-board on the LCD-panel. The connectors of these cables are very fragile, so be careful not to damage them.

If you turn on the set with this cable disconnected and error 2 does not appear anymore, the LCD-panel, TCON-board or the LVDS-cable could be the problem.

If error 2 persists, there would most probably be a problem with one of the regulators or DC/DC converters on the BU-board.

Thanks for the reply, i started disconnecting the LVDS cables from each board indvidually and powering up, same error, then i removed the 10.51 v cable (CN 4701) from the BU board to the QS board, powered up,got a green light and got no  blinks, i pressed power and the screen did not light, relays went on and off, green light on and off
With the green light on, i removed the A/C plug ,waited a while then pluged it in, green light came on and the screen powered up for a few seconds, then off, the channel info was displayed in the top right corner. The 10.51 v is ok at the 2 wires .
So right now all cables are connected ,except CN 4701, when i plug in the connector, the 2 blinks appear If the heartbeat led is supposed to pulse, it is off.
The only other connector is one from the center of the BU to a board below the panel buttons,on removing this ,no channel info is displayed when the screen turns on.
I checked the 2 fuses on the QS board and they are ok.
So am i going in the right direction to say the QS board is bad or maybe something else to try.
I cleaned the LVDS BU to QS connector with contact cleaner but no change.
Once again thanks for your assistance

Is there a fuse on the TCON board that may have blown?

The fuse ,(only one i found on the TCON  is ok, even though i remove the cables i get the 2 blinks. With everything connected as normal, when i remove the 10.51 v line from the QS board and power up , there are no red blinks, i get a green light and it is possible to get the screen to light up for a few secs, the channel number can be seen.

Any other tips to try before i have to purchase anything ?
