Steve Pooler, my brother was a long time contributor to this forum.  He loved to talk shop about electronics and home audio.  I am sure many of you recognize the handle and may have been helped by him at one time or another with your questions about these subjects.

Steve passed away at the age of 53 in his home on February 13, 2012.

His home theater system was powered up and running.

In recent years Steve spent more time on his own Forum which dealt with his primary profession of Marine Air Conditioning but he told me that he would check in here from time to time.

Thanks in advance for any condolences.  Service arrangements have not yet been determined but he will be buried at sea.

    Scott,

I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. My most sincere condolences go out to you, the rest of his family and friends. He was very kind and gracious to me personally and I will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.

My condolences go out to you.  I remember Steve well.  He was a significant contributor at Agoraquest.  In fact, he is number 5 of the top 10.

    Scott,

There are no words. As you probably know Steve and I had a great relationship off this forum. I am, as others, stunned.

My cell phone number is on Steve's iPhone. Please feel free to call or text me if you would like to talk.

Not only do we feel a collective loss here at Agoraquest but also I feel the loss of a very good friend. We shared so much with each other. Things having nothing to do with our hobby. I pray he is at peace with your mom.

I am so sorry. Your brother was special and will be missed by many.

    Joe

Thanks everyone - Steve spent a good portion of a part of his life here discussing Sony and electronics and electrical... He loved to share and teach and he had his own strong opinions about things... But in the end he had a heart of gold and just wanted to help get whatever this issue was, solved the right way. His home theater was his joy beyond the aforementioned teaching and debating of almost any mechanical or electrical topic. He will be missed, not just by his family and friends but by all who had an opportunity to learn something new from him.
