Right now my bass management comes from my Sony TA-E9000ES, amplifying a TA-N80ES running in mono to power a passive JBL B380. And, I'm completely satisfied with this arrangement for both music and movies. Yet, since I'm a sucker for bigger is better, I'm thinkin' about one of the mentioned JBL Cinema Subs. Of course, these are the sort of subs found at theatres, not in home settings. Nevertheless,  although these subs have no aesthetic appeal, perhaps the bass might be more realistic with one of these. What say you? Am I being ridiculous?

I like the way you think. Now, if I can convince my wife.
