Sony KF50WE610 green light on but no picture |

I replaced the lamp in my Sony KF 50WE610 and at first it had flashed red 3 times until I found I need to put the lamp cover on. After doing so when I power on the green light comes on but I have no picture...any ideas what it could be?

Does it cycle, I mean does it turn on and off continously? Also are there any red blinking lights?

I just turned it back on and it has been on for 5 minutes...green light only and I can hear the sound...no picture and no red lights.
