I have renamed a program source on my 5es from " DVD " to say "bluray" on the display.Now I want to change the same on the remotes display (RM LJ 305) to match not sure if this can be done or how to do it. I dont have a manual for the remote but I have a manual for the RM LJ 304 and there is no mention of renaming functions in the display.Any tips or help would be much appreciated.Thanks

Just to let you know that you are not being ignored. I did download the RM RJ304 PDF manual and gave it a read but nowhere did I find a way to reassign the functions in the display. Perhaps it is not possible.

Thanks jttar for your response I beleive you were the one that gave me the link to the rm rj304 manual I thought maybe I might have missed something.Perhaps you are right it is not possible hoping maybe some 5es owners might know and help. Thanks again

Note: For the following to work, I'm pretty sure you have to have a 2-way remote option set on the DA5ES.
On your RM-LJ305, press SET UP then go down to DOWNLOAD push ENTER. Before you do anything else make sure you keep your remote properly aimed at your DA5ES, and on the remote--with FUNCTION selected (it should default to having it selected), push ENTER again. Hope it helps.

Just thought I'd add: there is no separate manual for the RM-LJ305--it's part of the STR-DA5ES manual (pages 53-74 in mine).

Thanks nightmare I tried what you said and it didn't seem to work for me.Its not too big an issue it does control my bluray player it just doesn't match the exact lettering in the remote display as the receiver display.I'm on my way to Mexico for vacation and I'll play around with it somemore when I return.Thanks again for your help.
