Hi, I have two questions. Firstly, the picture of my Sony KV-32FQ85E is somewhat fuzzier on sides. It's barely noticable. Actually I never notice it when there's only a movie playing, but when subtitles are displayed, the the letters on the sides are a little hazier or fuzzier.

I have the TV taken apart at the moment - tried to optimize it by turning the FOCUS knob on the flyback transformer. I'm a bit scared to touch the SCREEN button but I think it affects brightness rather than what I'm looking for.

All that brings me to my second problem. When I try to discover the functions in the menu, I encounter a problem. My remote doesn't seem to work in the menu. When I press the navigation buttons (left-right-up-down) I see the red light blink (the TV receives the signal) but nothing happens. Only when I press straight on the button (Enter/OK), it enters the function which was selected, but I can't select other functions nor use Back (press left on navigation button). So - what could be wrong? Do I have the right remote at all?

    TV: KV-32FQ85E
    RC: RM-862

Please help me if you can

    Thanks in advance,
    Some Lad From Northern Europe

Focus issue already explained in Troubleshooting forum.

The original remote for this set is model RM-942.

The RM-862 was for controlling sets with the AE4 chassis, such as KV-32WS4x. These sets had UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT navigation done with the same keys as the RED/GREEN/BLUE/YELLOW buttons.

Models with an AE6 chassis, like KV-32FQ85x, need separate UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT keys for menu navigation.

Thank you very much again! Seems like the guy I bought the TV from gave me the wrong controller. Must get the right once then! :) I'm sure there are lots of functions hidden in the menu :P
