KDF-E55A20 red light blinks 6 times replacement instructions. Reading thru the forum I understand I need to replace thermo fuse part # 57-528-15769111-01 and supposedly only a $3.80 part. Can someone please confirm part #, let me know where I can get the part, and provide assistance with replacement instructions? It has been working great for us since 4Feb06 but today something popped. Thanks in advance, Ray

Hi idahogambler,
6 blinks for KDF-E55A20 is usually a thermal fuse issue. We have the television troubleshooting package
No power RED Standby LED flashes 6 times/KDF55XS955, KDF60XS955, KDFE55A20, KDFE60A20
It's very easy to do. If you upgrade to premium membership, and send Jehill or Me (claudi), a private message, we can send that to you. I don't have the part number on hand but I know it's definitely in several forum threads. The part I think is about $7 to get.

Hello idahogambler,
Greetings and welcome.
As Claudio has posted, the six blink error code is typically a thermal fuse issue but if you actually heard a physical "POP" sound I would suggest checking to see if the lamp itself has burst. The lamp part is much more expensive but much easier to change.
Please post back and let us know what you find. Best of luck. Joe
Hi I am a new member and was amazed at the amount of information I found here! I am having the 6 blinking red lights problem with my kdf-e55a20 grand wega. I ordered a new lamp and a new thermal fuse based on information learned on this site. I have sent a pm to Jehill for instuctions on changing the thermal fuse. I hope I asked for the right package, I am a little lost in finding my way around here.
I have the Sony Wega KDF-E55A20 also with the six blinking light. I understand this is the thermal fuse. I am looking for instructions on how to install, and a good place to order this item. I am a brand new premium member here and not sure yet how to get things done or how to find anyone to help. Can any of you help, Please! Thanks!

Advance
