My TV has the Red LED that blinks 6 times. I ordered the thermal fuse but need to know how to replace it. Can anyone help?

hi dr young, may I ask why you need to replace those thermal fuses?
just curious because i have the same symptoms on my tv (which is the same model # by the way).

I read that 6 blinks means a bad thermal fuse. The TV powers on for a few seconds and then shuts down and blinks. I figure I would give it a shot.

See my response to your PM. Unfortunately, Sony hasn't provided a thermal fuse replacement procedure for the KDF-50E2000. I did find an excellent photo of the thermal fuse connector in the service manual, but that's it! I wasn't able to locate the part number. Use the following link to order the service manual if desired. Search for "Termal" to locate the photo (they misspelled thermal).

Thanks jehill, but that link only takes me to the "request a service manual" and not the manual itself. I already requested the manual two days ago and have not received anything back. Thanks for any help you can provide.
