After the TV warms up, it is fine. There are no error codes in the service menu. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.

Welcome to Agoraquest! I suspect that what you are seeing is the result of a panel section going bad or the power supply to it going bad. You might have to replace the LCD panel to correct it. I would live with it until it fails or open it up and give the set a through visual inspection. If your are lucky, the problem is due to a loose connection.

That's the power supply that I was referring to.

jehill,
I have this same problem with my KDL-46xbr4. It was warming up and self fixing after 15 minutes or so but now it's been flashing (right side) for several hours. Also, when first turning on the TV the right side is darker then the left and after a while the flickering begins. Any further info. you can share and any idea on repair cost? brennanrp, did you ever figure it out? Thanks, Darin

I am sorry, but I can't find any Sony troubleshooting information for your problem. You best bet is to solicite the services of a qualified Sony service technician.
