SPHINX- For shooting Video with your Sony camcorder I would recommend getting the largest capacity Memory Stick you can especially if you take it on trips for days at a time and don't bring along notebook computer along to offload your Videos into.

I agree with Maxxwire. I would get the largest size if possible. I think Sony memory stick largest is 32 gb but they are coming out with a 2TB which is crazy. I think it will be available in the next few months. That would take hours and hours of recording and probably over 10,000 HD pictures Other size are 4GB, 8GB and 16GB models. I have 1 16 gb and have a spare 8gb just in case. I guess it also depends if you travel. If you dont' travel that much or at all. I would go with the lower size models since you can upload the files to your notebook or desktop computer.

There are some good deals on Sony memory sticks. There is one for a Sony 8gb memory stick for $29.00. I remember when 8 gb was easily over $100.

$29 is a great price! The lowest price I've seen in brick and mortar stores was $75.

I know I was shocked to see how cheap it is. Though it's not an offical Sony memory stick. It's a Sandisk one (SanDisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, Model SDMSPD-8192-A11). But it still pretty good. Might pick up a few, just in case.

The official brand name Sony 8 GB PRO Duo Memory Stick Mark 2 that I use in my Sony DSC H-9 camera is recognized by my computer as being made by Ricoh.
