Sony All in One Vista I want to install xp? Help... |

Ok, I want to get away from Vista. I have a copy of xp, I want to put it on this machine. When I try and do clean install I push F6 to load 3rd party drivers, but it still says no hard disk found. I don't have a floppy. I will boot from usb. I hope someone can help me.
Reason I am going to xp b/c I have an ati digital wonder tv tuner and it is always shutting down. And its Vista that doing it, then I bought a new movie on bluray and the program shuts down at certain spots in the movie. I just completely recovered vista and now the bluray plays. So I'm sure it was a update that windows did. B/c I did not install anything around that time. Only thing was the Sims 3.
I have a dell studio 15 laptop with vista on I don't have problems with it. Maily darn Media Center and tv tuner.
Once I get xp on it, I am going to try out mediaportal for recording tv.

Welcome to the forum. When you install XP and it gets to the point of installing 3rd party drivers (press F6), don't do anything. It will normally proceed along with the installation process. Make sure you do a format of the C: drive before installing XP.
