Hello!
I am a new member I sure hope someone can help before the kids drive me nuts! My Sony KDF-E60A20 stopped working. At first the status light was blinking red 6 times. One thread suggested unplugging for 36 hours which I did and when I turned it back on it blinked green 5 times then red 6 times then it just repeats 6 red blinks. Do I simply have a bad lamp or are there other issues going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx, Lynn

Welcome to Agoraquest! 6 blinks, pause, 6 blinks usually means that the thermal fuse needs to be replaced. What you need is the "No power RED Standby LED flashes 6 times/KDF55XS955, KDF60XS955, KDFE55A20, KDFE60A20" information package. Check the "Television Troubleshooting Information Packages" thread in the "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum for instructions on how to receive the package.

I have the same issue and I just got the thermal fuse. I took a lot of stuff apart and what I think is the thermal fuse - does not match what Sony sent. HELP!!!!
Anybody have a schematic or some kind of directions????
