    Hey all!

I purchase this "Sony Grand WEGA KF-WS60" TV a few years back, I onlygot the 3year warranty and now the TV is really going to die I think. Afew months back the lamp blew, $200 later. Now the TV has blue (Stuckor dead) pixels all over the screen. Is there any way to fix this?$6000 on a TV that lasts 3 years doesn't make me happy. THe product hassince been removed from their site (well, I can't find it) if they haveremoved it, i presume because they are utterly disappointed in thisseries (I believe others have carced it too)  and so they should beashamed, rip-off-crap-product-makers. Even if it cost $500 to repair,it would be awesome since it's a good "Game" TV. Anyway, any advice isappreciated!

I'm in Perth - Western Australia.

    Thanks!

    dingdong555,

    Greetings and welcome.

You will have a better chance of getting help from one of our TV techs if you repost your request in the Television Troubleshooting section of the forum. HERE is a link to it.

When you replaced the lamp did you used compressed air to  blow out the dust inside?  From your picture it kind of looks like dust particles on the lamp mirror or the optical assembly.

    Best of luck,
    Joe

THanks very Much Joe, for the link and your suggestion.

I didn't blow the dust out, I don't think that's the issue either because the look like dead pixels and it was there before the lamp replacement.

    Regards,

    James,

i have to agree with jttar in the fact that it could be that dust needs to be removed from the optical assembly or even the colorwheel, any update on this could give us the idea if the suggestion actually fix the problem.

    Good luck.

Those look like dead pixels. Have you been getting more and more blue pixels on the screen. I guess as it been increased alot at a time.
