my kf-50xbr800 keeps turning the lamp off, standby lamp flashes 34 times then it turns back on? Repeats every 10/15 minutes or so.

hi there, it seems also that you might need to reset the lamp timer sometimes this is an indicator of the problem on hand.
Good luck

sometimes this is a common issue with the timers inside of the television that hey still keep track of the hours from your old lamp and unless you reset it, the issue will continue

I would either replace the lamp. Probably the first step. If that doesn't work (but 90% of the time it should work).
The problem is that the older a lamp gets the more voltage the lamp driver needs to use which causes this power cycling.
