It's an issue with the lamp. It needs to be replaced. There are other threads on this
i used the lamp for 8,000 hours... well almost do you happen to know where i can buy a longlasting lamp for cheap? and if there are any manuals on how to install it or is it easy?

If you live in the US, your most reliable source of parts is http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/productSearch.do. Use the Model Number search to locate the Kdf-55wf655 accessories. The lamp is listed for $199.99. Lamp replacement instructions are found at the beginning of the Operating Instructions.
do you think i should go with thise one? or should i consider the one you gave me, im not sure which website is more trustworthy if you know what i mean. and should i get the extended warranty? and that lamp gives me 6,000 hours of life, are there any others that can give me more so i save the trouble in the future?
thanks a lot for the help

Just bought a complete lamp assembly from www.laptopsforless.com and replaced it no sweat. Took about 15 minutes. I have the same TV. The part number your looking for is.. A-1085-447-A Replacement Sony RPTV LAMP
I got the lamp, installed it and now i have my TV back, thank you guys so much! does anybody know how much people would have charged me if i wouldnt of done this myself?
Edit: so i was watching some tv after changing the lamp and i see a dramatic definition difference, so i am very pleased that my lamp broke lol
So after having the TV on for an hour or so (watching a baseball game), i notice that the tv has some little noticeable blinking, like its not bad but if u focus u can notice it, i turned it off and then turned it on and it went away. but after a little while it started again. does anybody know whats going on?
