I would like to know if anyone has any experience with this TV. I was hoping to use the speakers in the TV for the left and right channels of my 5.1 surround sound. I have a sony ht-sf2000 and the speakers attached to the stands just look kinda dumb(personal preference) next to my tv stand. would like to be able to put RCA plugs on the speaker wires coming from the reciever and want to know if the speakers in the tv can handle the RMS power the amp outputs (143 watts I believe) Also if i am using the hdmi to transfer the video will the audio be passed to the tv as well through my reciever? Hope someone has been down this road and will be able to point me in the right direction. THANKS in advance.

Basically, the speakers that come with most TV's are total crap. Unless you play VERY loud, the power rating shouldn't be a major issue. Another issue would be tonal balance between different types and brands of speakers.

The factory speakers may be rated at 15 watts if you are lucky. Most likely 5-10. dakota
