I just purchased a Sony KDL52W3000 from Best Buy & actually made it out of the store without falling for their $300 calibration service. I've read on other forums that this is a joke & you can find settings on forums such as this. So that's where I'm at. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to calibrate this tv? I have a Direct TV HD subscription & use a Sony brand Blu Ray run through a HK AVR-247 for watching DVD's

chapow1, I am not sure what Best Buy offers. But if you don't want to pay for a professional calibration service, then a calibration disc such as AVIA or Digital Video Essentials works quite well. I have Digital Video Essentials and I recently pre-ordered the Digital Video Essentials disc in Blu-ray, it should ship sometime around the end of March. Toli
