Just got the 52w3000 and enjoy the set though I am a bit disappointed that 16:9 widescreen movies can't "fill" the screen...letterboxes are at top and bottom of screen even in "Full" and Cinema modes. Dvds are played in Sony DVP-NC665P player, passed by component cables to a Denon AVR 3803 which upconverts to 1080p and connects to the KDL TV via a HDMI cable. Regular TV can "fill" the screen. Any suggestions? Thanks, JC

You are probably watching some 2.35:1 movies. Your 16:9 TV is 1.78:1. Some movies are 1.85:1, which will have tiny to no letterboxing, depending on the TV's overscan.
