I have a KDF-E55A20 with Comcast HD Digital - what is the best setting for watching Sports and then general TV watching - 720p or 1080i ??? Does using the CineMotion option effect either one ?? I have all the correct connections (HDMI)...Are their other considerations ?

Welcome to the forum. Since your model KDF-E55A20 native resolution is 1366x768, you will want to set your HD cablebox to 720p, which matches the resolution on your Sony. Sports is broadcast in 720p (ABC, Fox, ESPN) as well as 1080i (CBS, NBC, HBO). Since you have a fixed pixel display that is naturally progressive, 720p should be your ideal setting. You can engage CineMotion for HD broadcast via HDMI ? I was under the impression that CineMotion was only applicable for standard/enhanced def signals (480i/480p), as far as Sony's 3:2 pulldown is concerned.
