    Hello all and Happy Holidays!
I am looking for some help in troubleshooing an issue I am having with my father-in-law's HDTV / Surround Sound entertainment center setup.

He has a Grand Vega (KDF-E55A20) LCD Projection TV with an older D515A/V Receiver.  He also has an older Sony VHS VCR and a Sony DVD Player (don't have the models on these).  His cable receiver box is regular digital cable not HD, but he is getting an HD one soon.

He also has a surround sound (5.1 I think) unit hooked up to the D515.  The D515 puts sound out of all speakers when you have it on FM Tuner, but when you try and get the Television sound to come out via the LD/TV input on the receiver, I get nothing.

If you want to know my current cable connection setup, see this link:
    ftp://extra.abtelectronics.com/PDF_Files/kdfe55a20_quickguide.pdf

My setup is most similar to the one seen on Page 2, Figure B.  I have it hooked up exactly like that, and I get only hiss out of every speaker.

Where am I going wrong?  Would really like to get this hooked up for the guy as he can't thoroughly enjoy his xmas gift until I do.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated,
    TB in Austin, TX
