good evening all i'm having problems with my d3000 and would like to know whether it is possible to do any geometry tweaking on this model? i have a slightly stetched picture when set to widescreen which is present when watching widescreen tv broadcasts as well as when watching a anamorphic dvd. on my previous sony tv (kd28-dx40u) there was lots of geometry settings within the service menu but i cannot find any geometry adjusters in the service menu of this model. any help would be most welcome

thanks for your input Bardon, I see what you mean about the lack of controls due to the nature of the panel. maybe I'm just being picky as the test disc only shows the very slightest of stretch ( in fact invisible to most of my friends). I think maybe the problem was with my old tv crushing the picture for widescreen slightly too much so it feels like everbodys head is too long now i have a new set. it would have been nice if the adjuster for vertical height which the set has for smart mode was there for widescreen mode as well so i could ease myself into long head land but apart from that, what a tv! great colour and connections and completely silent operaration. I only say that because i keep hearing people moan about lcd's buzzing and whining (mainly panasonics though ) .

hello Bardon
i will keep your kind offer in mind, but the more i watch the tv the more i think it is just me having to get used to a tv that no longer crushes peoples heads to a round shape. all the best alfredo24
