Hi everyone, great looking forum for all us SONY lovers. I recently bought a 42' SONY 3LCD WEGA widescreen TV and am using BellExpressvu as our satellite/HD provider. Anyways I am trying to correct my widesreen dimensions but they seem to be all out of whack. When I push the 'WEGAgate' button on my remote and then go to 'Settings'....and then 'Screen'.....it does not give me the option of choosing 'Normal' mode.....I can only access 'Widezoom','Full', and 'Zoom'. The Store that I purchased the TV from has been no help whatsoever in helping me correct my problem.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. Its a fantastic TV but we are not enjoying it as much as we should. thanks

Welcome to Agoraquest! We need the complete model number in order to look up the Operating Instructions to view. If the wide screen options are available when viewing HD sources, "Normal" is "Full" and I wouldn't expect "Normal" to appear. However, if you are viewing SD sources (480i), "Normal" should appear. If there is a 4:3 Default setting, you might try setting it to Normal.

I have a similar model TV and unless you are receiving a 480i signal (which your Bell box will definitely not be sending) the "normal" setting is not available.
I'm not sure why you want to set your display to 4:3 with a 16:9 signal, anyway. The normal setting for an HD signal is "full".
