I have a  KV36HS500 Sony Trintitron TV and when I went to the store I turned it off.  Whenever I came back, I pressed the power button and the tv doesnt come one.  The stand by light blinks 6 times.  I've read on here something about overvoltage/overcurrent and some other things about this problem.  Can someone please explain this to me more and what would cause this problem.  I am guessing that this is not an easy thing to fix unless you are a tv repaiman.  SO any help as to where to get it serviced or how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

For the KV36HS500, 6 blinks, pause, 6 blinks, etc. means, "LOW +B OCP/OVP (overcurrent/overvoltage) and the probable cause locations listed are as follows:

    1.  +5 line is overloaded (A, B, M boards)
    2.  +5 line is shorted (A, B, M boards)
    3.  IC504 is faulty (A board)

These are starting points for a qualified service technician.
