    matt25,

The Power Saving feature reduces the power consumption of the TV. I wonder though, when you engage this feature, is the TV less bright? Also in these settings you can shut the picture completely off, while still being able to listen to the sound through the TV's speakers. At first glance I don't think that i would use this feature, but if you decide to use this feature please let us know if you see any differences in the TV's performance.

    Toli

    Hello,

newer LCD sets do have a dynamic backlight adjustment: the amount of light generated by the backlight is set by the user setting, but also by the picture content.

Without dynamic backlight adjustment, the backlight produces it´s (user set) amount of light even during a complete dark scene.

With dynamic backlight adjustment, the uP knows that it is of no use to have the backlight on during a black scene, so it dims the backlight at that moment. This decrease the chance that mura effects are visible for the customer and also saves in power consumtion.

    Regards,

    Bora.
