Thats what i want, right? Thing is i adjusted the VMOF all the way to VMMX to 0 now that takes care of the SVM.
But thing i want want to know is since i have sharpness in the user menu set to 0 do i want to go into service and lower SSH0,SSHP and SHMX also? right now in service there settings are SSH0-25, SSHP-30. SHMX-15. Thing is when i lower them to 0 i dont notice any difference using the avia disc.
But a wierd thing i noticed is when i lower those 3, SHPF , (had it set to 0 then to 3 after reading up on here) it seems to create double lines when set to 3 now, but if i lower it to 0 the lines go away. weird thing is i didnt notice it until i was doing the white level adjustments on AVIA. The two lines at the bottom of the steps had an extra "ghos" line on each side of them, and it only seems to happen when i have those other 3 parameters set to 0.
Anybody have any idea whats up? Do i want to still keep SSHO and those other settings at the defaults even tho sharpness is set to 0 on the user menu?

If you have 2170P-3/SYSM, that is another sharpness control. A setting of 0 or 1 gives a boost near SD's top, then cuts. 2 gives a wide boost. 3 appears to be flat. This setting will vary depending on the video input, video mode (480i etc..) and picture mode (Vivid etc..).
2170P-3/LTLV is another edge enhancement, where 0 is off. It has many settings as above.

AKA the TV that Sony decided to change the names of almost all the parameters in the service menu.
Doesn't have any SYSM settings tho. Unless they renamed it.
