I recently had the Sony 50" LCD projection 780 model. When I hooked it up to a PC via the PC input (a vga 2 vga cable with a DVI adapter at the PC end) and set the computer to the recommended 1280 x 760 it looked great but the image did not fill the whole screen. Using the picture/zoom buttons on the TV either did not scale it enough or too much.

I recently returned so I can get the 1080p 50 inch in a couple of weeks. Will I be facing the same issue? Is there a solution? Should I try a DVI 2 HDMI cable?

    Thanks for any help,
