I bought a Sony KD-32FS170 about a week ago. THe set has a great sharp picture and color, but one thing bugs me about this set. The middle of the picture "bows" just a little. A service tech said the only way to fix that was to adjust the yoke on the set. If I return this set for another of the same model, do you think the picture would be any better? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Agoraquest! You are not going to know unless you try the exchange. Is there anyway that you can checkout the replacement before you take it home?

No, it would be Circuit City bringing a new one to my house. It seems no set of any brand is exactly perfect, especially in the flat screen catagory. I think I'm gonna keep this one.

That may be the best idea. A few months ago, my son was over and pointed out that the bottom of the 16 x 9 window on my KV-36XBR450 when viewing HD channels was bowed up slightly. He asked why I hadn't fixed it. I told him that it wasn't worth the trouble! If I hadn't noticed it until then, why not continue to ignore it? I still don't notice it!

Is there any magnets around the TV? Bowing could be caused by magnets that are around the TV.
Just a thought
