I've recently bought a used KV-32FQ70E. On the first day of owning it I stumbled across a fix for the red smearing problem
http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116374
I actually found the solution before I found the problem
Anyway, I fixed the vertical smearing but I still have two problems left.
1: The geometry is pretty messed up. A line that's supposed to be straight starts to bend downwards about 15cm from the right side of the screen (when in 16x9). The whole right side acctually bends down but it's worst in the bottom right corner.
Also it looks like the line is bent slightly inwards in the middle but that might just be an optical illusion of some sort.
2: The colors don't bleed vertically anymore but they do bleed horizontally (sideways). It really only shows in the left top and bottom corners but I if it can be fixed I want to try since it's probably affecting the whole picture like the earlier smear (that I fixed) did.
I believe the bleed is called convergence?
My question is - can these problems be cured via the service menu?
I'm guessing that #2 could be fixed this way but I might have to live with #1.
