How can I display the on screen guide thru my Mitsubishi Model #62527 from the Sony 7100ES. I have a cable box w/HDMI and a SAT receiver with composite out and digital audio but cannot get my sony to display on either. Also my hdmi port for the Sony is hard to configure. Is there any help in my situation.

jebbj19,
Can you explain in more detail how everything is hooked up? from the souds of it you have an HDMI cable running to your mitsubishi from the 7100, you are running HDMI into the 7100 from your cable box, and running composite video with a digital audio cable into the 7100 from your satellite. Also, what specifically is hard to configure RE: the HDMI on the 7100?

I have rerouted the sound from the cable box directly to the 7100ES but I have problems receiving the hdmi signal from the Mitsubishi 62527 hdmi port from the cable box. I get no signal and on screen display. I will try to reconfigure this as follows: from the cable box to the tv into the receiver. Let me give you my equiptment: RCA directv receiver with digital out for audio, Motorola hdmi 8312 cable box with digital out as well, and the Sony 7100ES. Thanks for your help in making this work for me.

Ok, if you have the HDMI cable running directly from your Motorola 8312 into the Mitsubishi 62527 and you have selected the HDMI input on the tv, there is no reason that the signal would not show up. If you were also unable to see the on screen guide from the 7100 through HDMI it sounds like a problem with the HDMI port on your 62527 TV. Have you checked in the TV menu for settings relating to the HDMI port? You may try contacting Mitsubishi for more help on HDMI connections to the TV. Here is the toll free number for Mitsubishi Electric: 800-332-2119. If you have any other questions RE: the 7100ES let me know. Good luck! Ed

I greatly appreciate your help. Will contact mitsubishi after retrying my connections. You will be informed however the hdmi should be working because it was connected prior with just the cable box and the tv without the 7100es in the loop. I think I need to work through the setup menus on the 7100es to specify my desired settings. These menus take a little manuvering. Thanks again.

jebbj19, No problem, glad to help. As far as the settings in the 7100 menu go, the only one you may want to change is the 'HDMI POWER' setting which is found under the 'CUSTOMIZE' menu, select 'EVER ON' to ensure that the source is quickly displayed when using "HDMI. Also, make sure that the little green LED light at the left of the 7100ES is on so you know you have correctly selected the HDMI input. Use the HDMI button under the flip panel of the 7100 to select the correct HDMI input to test it. Ed
