Welcome to Agoraquest! That looks like an attractive system, but that may be where it ends. 600 watts total power isn't much, especially if it includes the sub-woofer and is determined at 10% THD. I you like to crank up the volume, you may be disappointed with the maximum volume level possible. IMHO, you are better off getting a component system, that is, a separate receiver, speakers and DVD player.

Thanks for your help. I'm on a tight budget which is why this particular system is an option for me.
We have neighbors so I will not be cranking the volume up really loud.
I suppose I need to hear what a 600 watts system sounds like before I buy!

That's a great idea. If it's possible to audition the system before the purchase, that's what you should do. Many times, that's not possible. I was unable to locate any dealers that had my system (described in signature) up and running before I purchased it on-line. I later discovered that its 120 wpc power rating was into a 6 ohm load while the speakers in the package are 8 ohms. With an 8 ohm load, the power rating is only 100 wpc. I should point out that, unlike the system that you are considering, the power ratings are at 0.7 % THD, not 10 % THD as I suspect.
