I just picked up one of these new LCDs on Monday here in So. CA (only 2 Circuit City locations in So. CA have these in stock and no other retailers had even heard of the unit). This is my first HD LCD. I upgraded from a KV-20FV10 which continues to serve me well in another room.

    1. How do I access the service menu (actually, how do I access MORE of the service menu?). I can get to a "service mode" using the following key sequence: [display/5/vol +/power on] where such things as R G B_DRIVE & R G B_BKG are adjustable along with TEST RESET, AGING MODE and AUTO SHUT-OFF but this is about it as far as this "service mode" goes. Is there another, more advanced service mode available on this unit? If so, how can I access it?

    2. Is there any way to keep the display (channel/time) on the screen at all times? I wonder if this is disabled on LCDs because of possible burn-in...

    3. I can see no effect whatsoever with the backlight control in the standard WEGA GATE settings. Am I missing something?

Please go easy on me, I'm new here
