after trying fix many problems that my 36hs420 had i cant seem to find the enhance 16x9 feature, instead I have vert correction and horizontal correction both of which are not included as normal features. any ideas???

so that everyone knows before someone says to just put the values that I wrote down back, I bought this tv used from someone who messed around in the service menu and messed things up. The person never wrote down the original values so I have no clue as to being close to original values. If anyone has the service manual or anything similar to please help me out and provide me with a copy, thanks!

I think what happened to you was the opposite of what happened to me. Look at the ID code section, namely ID7, if it is at 17, change it to 16, you should get your enhanced 16x9 back.

Glad to see things worked out. I was almost panicking when I noticed that all I could do was use 16:9 enhanced and not my usual zoom modes. Guess a little fiddling and the service manual do wonders.
